Blogging Again

I’ve been bad. Very vary bad. Well, Blog wise that is. It’s not been one month, not two months, but three whole months since I last posted. It’s already March. The bunny season. SPRING. WTF is happening to 2011?

Anywhoo, although I did take a break from blogging, I did not take a freak from WoW, well, except for a week in Feburary, but that was because I lacked internet. Oh, and I was in Vegas. More on that later.

So firstly, a recap of how my last 3 months have been, if you at all care about the irl Tabathine.

Taking a break from blogging for Christmas. I didn’t want to leave you with NOTHING, so I leave you with this, which I found on another WordPress bloggers site awhile back. I haven’t actually started it myself, as atm I lack a printer, but in less than 24 hours I will be back home visiting my parents and will use theirs. Ding! The Holiday Season Has Finally Hit WoW!

I have spent the last week leveing Tabathine through all the different zone, prefering Mt Hyjal to Vashir, and going the Uldum rount instead of the Twilight Zone rout, even though Uldum was a PvP warzone.I had organized a little contest in my guild, with those wishing to participate entering 50g, which would go to the winner. Cata Day One Picture Post!

This is my first expansion for World of Warcraft, and I was really fricken excited. I had purchased the Digital copy, and was one of the hundreds (thousands, more likely, on my server) that was waiting in-game for Cata to arrive, watching that clock tick down. Or I guess up. Whatever way, I was there. And here is my Picture Post of how things went for me:

12:01 am CATA!!!!!!! Ok, so Blizz actually announced Cata being open at I think 12:03, and the screen shot is timed, at 12:02, but I paused the chats at 12:01. I don’t know what I was thinking, being up by the Flight Master area. The lag was terribibble.

 

Then we all had to log off and log back on. Oh joy. That took a good 20 minutes of continuous D’Cing and loading screens and general frustration, but I had a ton of snacks by my side, was dressed nice and cozy, and was mentally prepared for that, so all in all not too bad.

To Baby Moonkin, Or Not To Baby Moonkin

So Blizz came out with the Baby Moonkin Hatchling. I know you have all seen it. Its huge googly eyes. Its cute little moonkin dance. Its pint sized bundle of cuteness. Oh, and its $10.00 price tag. Thats whats stopping me. I am a WoW pet collector, Taba currently has 77 of the vanity pets, all of which I collected in-game, except for the Core Hound Pup which you get with the authenticator. And Davinna is a Druid, with the potential to become a Moonkin (atm she is spec’ed Resto, but her dual spec is blank). But see, there is a line I drew in some virtual sand that said I would not cross when I started playing WoW, promising myself that I would not pay more than 15 bucks a month towards this addiction. It will take my time, but dammit, it will not take my money! (WoW is pretty cheap as far as addictions go, I mean just look at the price of cigarettes). So far, with the exception of buying the expansion and the authenticator, I have held up.

But… BUT!

It’s Not The Game, It’s The People

I love WoW. I love the content, the landscapes, the diversity, the PvE and PvE, and yes, I even love the quests. But most of all what I love about WoW is the people. Logging in each day to see who is online, chatting with people I’ve gotten to know over the past year, and those I’ve only met a few minutes ago, and will probably never meet again. But sometimes it gets overwhelming. It can be hard to judge someone accurately while IMing them in a game, and I’ve found myself with more than a few people that seem to think I am their therapist. I listen, I empathize and sympathize. I don’t /ignore.

The Tiny Fawn Joins The Family!

Thats right! Taba reched the 75 pet mark, which instantly got me to 76 pets! A little reseach, a friend, and some great luck got her to this point way faster than I was anticipating.

For all you (horde) pet collectors out there: Cata has brought another buyable pet! (Alliance have to do some sort of quest for it). Withers the tree. Reminds me of Davi’s old tree form, which I want back, but the glyph costs around 285 gold on the AH. I hate you inscriptors. But there is no faction grind, no quest chain, just visit the NPC and fork over 30 silver. But yes, there is a catch: It’s in Darkshore, which is a pain to get to, especially since they took out the FP on the western part of Felwood. I like going the Darkshore, vs the fallowing the path Ashenvale way, because is faster, but if you have no version of soft fall, which, as a Hunter, Taba doesn’t, then jumping down the waterfalls can hurt. Bad. I think I hit below 20% health from falling at least 4 times. And then with all the changes to that area, it’s quite a trek. I’m sure you COULD wait for Cata to come, and then simply fly there, but where is the adventure in that? And I don’t have that type of patience. There is also way cool whirlpool thing on the way that, had I not already been on a mission, I would have so jumped into, just to see what happens. Apothecary Furrows, who lives in a cave set behind a waterfall, sells him.

Oh Wow. Just… WoW

Flying back from Winterspring to Org I had a huge WTF moment (I had ben searching for an abandoned pet to readopt, ended up picking up a totally new pet, more oh that later). I now present to you my WTF moment:

The Night Before the Patch

For me, things in WoW seem to happen in 3’s. Todays 3, coming on the eve of patch 4.0.3, is as follows:

I have taken over as Guild Master of my guild, Always Saturday. It’s not a permanent position, but I am to treat it as if I am not just acting GM. Unfortunately Krisna (the real AS GM), has some RL stuff going on, and he isn’t sure how his internet status is going to be, among other things. He asked me to be stand in GM, and while I don’t know if I have all it takes (can someone please tell me what is takes? is there some sort of GM handbook?), it’s a challenge I am looking forward to. I have been an officer in my guild since it started back in Aprilish, and I love how it has grown. I hope to god that I don’t screw it up. I also have to figure out how to trick someone into the Raid Leader position, as I am a terribibble RL. OK, not true, I just don’t want to be RL. It’s to stressful. However as GM, it is my responsibility to make sure we do raid, so RL or no, we are radeing on Saturday, just like always. I have even found 2 DK tanks if needed. On the upside, Krisna always changed our tabards colors every Tuesday, and that power is now mine! Buahahahaha! We’ll be seeing a lot more  purple. But no pink. I am one of 2 girls in my guild, and I rather not face a mutiny just yet.

However, I couldn’t figure out how to do that, so it’s mashed into all my other posts. I will figure out how to in time, but it’s 4am, so yeah… not going to happen tonight.
